Does Baja Tattoo have sanitary processes for safety?
Yes, 100% for over 30 years. Our tattoo parlor maintains the highest standards of sanitation. We are fully licensed and comply with all Mexican Health Codes for tattoo facilities, including strict COVID-19 protocols set by the Mexican Department of Health. We use new, clean equipment, which is unboxed in your presence before we start. Additionally, we employ medical-grade sterilization techniques using ultrasonic tanks and autoclaves. Our studio is a smoke-free environment where no food or drinks are allowed, and we do not serve customers who are intoxicated or under the influence.
How many first-time tattoo clients do you service?
Approximately 50% of our clients are first-timers at Baja Tattoo. We take pride in the fact that many of these clients return and refer others, contributing to our reputation and success over the past 17 years.
Do I need an appointment for my tattoo?
While appointments are not mandatory, they are recommended (you can easily contact us to discuss and make an appointment). If you are in Cabo, please visit us in person to arrange the best appointment time. A 25% cash deposit is required to secure any appointment.
Do you offer tattoo services at villas, homes, or resorts?
Yes, we can accommodate special requests for on-location tattoos. Please contact us to discuss and make an appointment.
How long does a tattoo take?
The duration of a tattoo depends on the design, size, colors, and detail. A high-quality tattoo cannot be rushed. We prioritize producing professional results, so we recommend scheduling sufficient time for your tattoo to ensure the best outcome.
Do you work with celebrity clients?
Yes, we serve many high-profile clients who visit Cabo. We ensure discretion, privacy, and security. Contact us to discuss specific options and arrangements.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept cash as well as all major credit cards, Venmo and Zelle. Please note that all credit card transactions incur a 16% MXN IVA state tax. Prices are quoted in USD, but we also accept MXN Pesos at the current exchange rate. Cash payments are preferred.
What is the cost of a tattoo?
Tattoo costs vary based on size, color, and location. Our minimum hourly rate is $150.00 USD. For a precise quote, you can email your design or visit our shop during business hours to consult with an artist.
Do tattoos hurt?
The sensation varies depending on the tattoo’s location. While some areas may be more sensitive than others, the process involves needles piercing the skin to deposit ink. Pain levels differ, but they are generally manageable. New technology with numbing sprays that dramatically reduce pain and fatigue is available.
What are your days and hours of operation?
We are open daily except on certain holidays. Our typical hours are from 10 AM to 11 PM, with earlier closing times on Sundays.
